I Love My New Job and Scheduling Work for Drivers

As a single mother of two children, I have had struggles in life when it comes to making sure that my kids are well cared for while I worked. My job as a secretary just wasn’t working out, and I needed something that paid better. A very close friend works for a limousine service in Orlando that pays her really well. She said that she would talk to her boss to see if there were any job openings that might fit my skills. This was great news considering that I was ready for a better job for the sake of my kids and my own sanity.

As soon as I knew that I wanted to switch jobs, I began working on my resume. I had not updated it in 5 years, and I had so many new skills to add to it. I spent some time learning how to word things properly on my resume with some very helpful websites online. After I updated it and proofread it thoroughly, I sent it to the limo company my girlfriend told me about. I typed up a nice cover letter to include with it as well.

The very next Friday, I got a call from the owner of the company, who wanted me to come in for an interview. The great news is that they he needed an office manager immediately. I was nervous about the interview, but he is a really nice guy who helped put me at ease right away. I’m really happy that I spent some time brushing up on my interview skills before the interview because it really helped.

He hired me that same day, and I have been working there ever since. I help to coordinate the daily schedule for all of the company drivers. I have found that I am really good at it, and the driver’s all day that I am handling it even better than the last employee who did this for them.
